Teal and Coral Wedding With Succulents in Healdsburg by Off The Beaten Path Weddings

Stephanie and Jeremy’s wedding was one of our absolute favorite events of 2013. With a stunning color palette, succulents galore, a great team to produce the design, and Matt Edge Photography there to capture it… How can you not be 120%, head over heels in love with this wedding?

It truly was an honor for Off The Beaten Path Weddings to create this day for Steph + Jeremy. Everything from the earth-to-glass cocktails to the extra touches that made the event shine even more in our minds.

The mercury glass, teal napkins, and even the vintage wood boxes are SINGING when combined with the perfect color palate and the perfect touch of simplicity.

Did we mention that the location was pure magic? A true dream on a summer night!To make this day even better, Steph was kind enough to say a few words
about her experience with us…

We had a wonderful experience and I would absolutely hire Mary Ellen and her team again! They did a fantastic job with our wedding from start to finish. Conceptually Mary Ellen and I were on the same page as far as styling, food selection and over “feel”. It was executed flawlessly. We flew up to meet with Mary Ellen 3 times (we live in San Diego) to do a site visit, pick out details at the showroom, food tasting and final overview. I was the type of bride that knew what I wanted from a big picture perspective but didn’t necessarily have every detail outlined and Mary Ellen did a great job of taking my vision and making it a reality beyond my imagination. Our guest still continually tell me how amazing, elegant, romantic, personalized and touching our wedding was. Everyone had a great time, raved about the food and kept saying over and over that they had never been to such a stunning wedding. As a bride, that was music to my ears. 🙂

Bridechilla™ Tip #57

Tip #57 – How to be a BRIDECHILLA™ by Off The Beaten Path Weddings – Make the love of your life smile before you even walk down the aisle with this chill idea!

Things you’ll need:

• Flower girl
• Pen
• Paper
• And a few sweet words of LOVE

Chances are you already have 75% of these things, so all you need to know now is what to do with them. Remember, this will take you 5 minutes to do and it can even wait until the day of your wedding (yes, this is a procrastinator friendly tip!) because it is so simple and such a sweet gesture for that person waiting at the end of the aisle for you.

Simply ask your flower girl to walk down the aisle as planned, except at the end, have her hand a note to the groom as soon as she’s there. Your note can say something sweet, like “I can’t wait to marry you” or “I can’t wait to kiss you”, anything your heart desires to say GOES! This Bridechilla™ Tip is soooo simple and will definitely put a smile on his/her face right before you come in to view.

Happy First Look Friday! Last week we shared a shot-by-shot of Julia + Tom’s First Look… Tom’s face was incredibly endearing as he watched Julia walk down the aisle. That is why we love the first look… but is it always going to be about the groom? No way! The only thing more “awww” worthy than a tear-struck groom is seeing the father of the bride’s face when he FIRST sees his little girl… see below!

Blush Wedding With Lavender in Healdsburg by Off The Beaten Path Weddings

Shannon + Simon’s wedding was the perfect balance of class, glam, and a little bit of a rustic touch. Mary Ellen and the team at Off The Beaten Path Weddings created a style customized to this Bridechilla™ and her husband’s needs and desires. See the full day below…

Simon + Shannon wrote each other letters before the ceremony instead of seeing each other, a good alternative to the First Look photo if you ask us!

We enjoyed designing with the rustic chic white tables, birch vases, hydrangea, and touches of lavender around every corner..  including the cocktails! Who knew that a tiny garnish like lavender could make such a HUGE difference in presentation. Sometimes less is more isn’t it?
